The traditional style of this Corinthian capital makes it an ideal choice for ornamenting the head of a pilaster i.e. a 3 sided or flat half column set against a wall surface. Due to its shallowness of depth in relation to its prominent width, this piece is particularly suited to being incorporated into a construction that specifies a pilaster thickness of as little as ½ in depth. Supplied with a capping and with a rectangular based collar to take a pilaster of 3 ½ in width and ½ in thickness.
